Lead magnet is a valuable incentives (e.g. discounts, guides) to encourage email sign-ups, and it’s the first step for your email marketing effort. A good lead magnet should be:

  • Valuable
  • Relevant to the person receiving it
  • Improving that person’s life
  • Easy to consume and can be received quickly

After that, choose an email marketing service that has features like automation, segmentation, and good deliverability. I recommend MailerLite or ConvertKit.

Building Your Email List

  • For customers: Ask via Etsy messages, order receipts or order insert
  • For shoppers: Promote sign-up in shop announcements and product descriptions

One of the most powerful use cases of email marketing is to set up automation sequences, where emails are sent to subscribers once they sign up.
