Auto-reply helps you send a pre-written message to customers even when you are not available to reply.
As speedy replies (within 24 hours) is one of the criteria of being a Star Seller on Etsy, setting up auto-reply is a good way to work towards that.

Setting Up Saved Replies (Message Templates)
When you get asked the same question often, you can reuse a saved reply so that you don’t have to type the same thing every time.
You should set up a saved reply for common questions that your customers have. It can increase your efficiency and quality of your answer.
To create and use a saved reply:
- Click “Saved replies” below the message box
- Click “Add new”
- Type in the message, as well as choosing a title and category (only you can see the title and category)
- Click Save
- And when you want to use a saved reply, simply click “Saved replies” and click on the one you want to use
